GASCAV

Cabiúnas-Vitória gas pipeline (GASCAV), which is about 300 kilometers long, was successfully finished by SINOPEC and its sub-contractors in 2007.

Having a capacity of transporting up to 20 millions m³ of natural gas a day during the construction and assembly phase, the gas pipeline was divided into three spreads that worked simultaneously.

In June 2006, Petrobras symbolically launched the project in a ceremony held at Terminal Intermodal da Serra (TIMS), in Espírito Santo, with the attendance of the Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Petrobras’ president, José Sérgio Gabrielli, China’s ambassador in Brazil, Chen Duqing and other authorities.
