Comunication and Social Responsibility

SINOPEC maintains an ethical and transparent relationship with all the people or groups it relates to and it seeks to stimulate sustainable development, respecting the diversity and promoting a decrease in social differences.

Aiming at minimizing the interference to the surrounding communities of GASCAV and GASCAC projects, SINOPEC promoted several actions focusing on Safety, Environment and Civic awareness.

Having a multidisciplinary team, the professionals are responsible for the internal and external communication, corporate social responsibility, planning and organizing of events and campaigns, press advisory and management of crises.

Guidelines for using the brand

For a brand to establish itself and be easily recognized and distinguished from the others, it must be consistent and uniform in all its applications.

The graphic pieces and promotional materials must follow the guidelines for using the brand.

SINOPEC’s main brand is internally known as “Rising Sun”.

Minimum Size: 1.7 cm high by 1.7 cm wide.

By complying with the guidelines below, it will be possible to correctly reproduce SINOPEC’s brand in several documents and communication materials (reports, letters, slides, banners, brochures, newspapers, headings, envelopes, etc.):

a) In order to assure the brand’s legibility, the area surrounding it must be free from any graphic or typographic element. Hence, a minimum distance of 3 cm from the external borders of the area occupied by the logo must be left unused.

b) Its shape, colors and size must be respected so as not to distort the image.

c) In case it is necessary to amplify or diminish the logo, this shall be done very carefully, complying with the proportions.

d) The main signature over a white background should be given priority to when presenting and applying the brand SINOPEC. This should be the starting point when creating any Communication material. If it is impossible to apply the logo on a white background, plain and light backgrounds will be allowed.

e) Any interpretation or interference on the logo, regardless of the excellence in creativity, will affect its reading.

Examples of incorrect use or application of the brand:

• Division of the brand by two background areas;

• Application of the brand on highly confusing backgrounds;

• Graphic interferences on the logo;

• Covering part of the logo;

• Use of shadow or raised-lettering on the logo;

• Application of the logo on places where there isn’t enough contrast with the background;

• Changing the font of the logo or trying to redesign the logo;

• Changing the ratio regarding size or position between the symbol and the logo.
